God Has an Interest in Our Future

God has an interest in our future. He cares about our future. Sometimes the problem is we are the one who don’t have any interest on our own future. Sometimes someone can be so ignorant about his future, until he is in trouble. Do you know anyone that applies to? I know that has been me at times in my life.

Today, I’m going to share with you 5 simple, life-changing principles that are practical in leading a fuller life in Christ.

1. Have a Purpose in Life, and Focus on it

Everyone must have first a purpose in life, if they want to be success. Why? Because without a purpose in our life will be boring.

For someone the purpose might be changing bad habits in his/her life; some of you might make a job your purpose or this business. But this is a short-term kind of purpose. But beside short term, we also have long-term kind of purpose. What is that? To glorify God. We are His partners, the Bible said, for what? To be together with God and accomplishing His great purpose in our life.

Having a purpose is good, but staying focused on it is better. Many people might have a purpose in their life, but they don’t have a focus on it. If you have a God-given purpose in your life, focus on it! Don’t get distracted!

Be focused on your future, and live today as a preparation for tomorrow.

Where we are right now today is the result of our actions in the past, and what we do today will be determining who we are in the future.

Don’t just live as the days goes by, but live a life that has purpose. Driven by the purpose.

2. Lead an Excited Life (Excitement is a muscle for your soul)

When you want to run, you will need a good muscle. Any activity requires muscles. When we don’t get excited for what we do, we will not have strength to accomplish it. If you want to be successful (success means you accomplish your purpose), you must be excited with your life. If not, you will quit in the middle of the race.

More than that, you can’t be a leader, if you are not excited with your life. How can people follow you and your life, if you aren’t happy with it?

3. Know yourself and Be yourself
(Knowing your own strength and weaknesses)

People who know themselves are a people who have a sense of destiny.

John Maxwell shares 2 kinds of weaknesses: 1) weaknesses in the area of skill and ability, and 2) weaknesses in the area of attitude, discipline, and relationship. These kinds of weaknesses must have our biggest attention to work it out.
Don’t try to be someone else. “The best thing you can be is a bad copy!” Just be yourself.

The circumstances we have in our life are one of the greatest reasons why we want to be like someone else.

4. Maximize your potential (An excellent spirit is an attitude of a person who has purpose in his life)

We must have what the bible called as an excellent spirit. An excellent spirit is a person who does the best with all he or she’s got! Maximizing our potential!

Don’t just live day by day. That is why purpose is so important. As long as you don’t make your life meaningful, you are really just existing and not truly living.

5. Finding your self-identity

(Finding your own identity is primary requirement to begin your journey of a purpose-driven life)
You can find your purpose in life, when you can find who are you, why you are here in this place and time, what is God’s anointing over you, etc.

A healthy self-identity will build for us a healthy relationship.

Please understand when I’m talking about success, I don’t mean simply finances and wealth. That is a narrow definition of success. Success is achieving your purpose!

And don’t let your bitterness in the past hold you far from your success in the future! Rip any bitterness and unforgiveness out right now as that will stand in your way and in the way of all that God has promised you.

It truly is in your hands. God is no respecter of persons. He is no respecter of persons. You are responsible for your own success. No one else. God will prepare and enable you; people who love you, will encourage you and spur you on; but you, yourself need to walk on that road step by step…
